LULLABY 💤 🖋️
By Jeff Oliver
He let his rage escape today,
finding his place within the price he paid.
Now, he’s trapped and unable to escape,
lost in the terrifying parade of madness.
Demons and ghouls, clowns and fools,
witches and creeps, parasites and freaks,
there is no one left to hear his screams.
All that’s left is the white noise that
haunts his tormented dreams.
He is trapped in his madness, isolated and alone.
The only thing surrounding him is fear,
consuming his tormented soul.
He is like like a rabid creature on a leash,
relentlessly banging against the bars of Hell,
his screams echoing throughout.
His madness has truly entrapped him.
He is battered and broken,
with gaping holes wide open.
They are picking at his spirit,
leaving him helpless and forsaken,
trapped in damn-nation.
An endless, tightening stranglehold consumes him,
the deals he has made have left him torn,
binding him to the flames.
He cannot go back and make a change,
so he is left deranged.
He signed his name on that contract,
now eternally trapped in his pain
with no way to escape.
The withering hands of the deceased
grasp at him, dragging him under, as the piercing
shrieks of the condemned grow even louder.
Rabid beasts froth at the mouth, while the
intensifying inferno bids him farewell.
It is a truly horrifying lullaby they sing,
picking at him, muffling his demon-ridden screams.
Go to sleep as you scream,
the shadows will be there to burn you.
Go to sleep as you bleed,
they will always deny you.
Lullaby and you die,
over and over.
Lullaby, you can’t fight,
Hell has become you.
